Hockley Hustle at The People's Hall
The People's Hall was buzzing with energy on Saturday, October 19th, as we proudly hosted a key venue for this year's highly anticipated Hockley Hustle music festival! The event was a resounding success, bringing a diverse line-up of live music and vibrant crowds to the historic Hall.

330 Music Fans Through the Doors
Throughout the evening, we welcomed approximately 330 people who came to enjoy the unique atmosphere and incredible performances. The doors opened from 15:00 onwards, and the Hall quickly became a lively hub of the festival. The music kept the energy high until the event finished promptly at 22:30, with all guests having departed smoothly by that time.
Our Building Manager shared their delight:
"It was amazing to see our beautiful Georgian house transformed into such a lively music space. The atmosphere was incredible and I was particularly happy to see so many people coming through our doors, not only for our incredible live music line-up, but to also come into this significant Nottingham venue."
Diverse Line-Up Lights Up the Stage
A total of six incredible live acts took to our bespoke stage, offering something for every musical taste. The night featured a fantastic mix of genres, including powerful rock, soulful jazz, traditional folk, and cutting-edge indie music.
The line-up included memorable sets from Lowered Tones, who delivered a stunning set of contemporary jazz, and the energetic folk-punk group Cheap Dirty Horse.
Professional Setup Elevates the Experience
To ensure a first-class experience for both the artists and the audience, we transformed the Hall with a professional setup. A dedicated stage was specially constructed, complete with a full sound and lighting rig. This allowed the performers to sound and look their absolute best, creating a truly immersive concert experience within the historic setting.
This successful event underscores the versatility of the People's Hall as a premiere venue for both cultural and contemporary events in the city.
Thank You to the Community
A huge thank you goes out to all the attendees, the talented artists who played, the Hockley Hustle organisers, and the technical team who made the event possible. We look forward to hosting an even bigger and better line-up next year!
Keep your eyes out for our involvement in future Nottingham events. We have some big things planned...
